This is Based on an answer given by a student of DTU itself, when asked about the life at DTU!!
HAVE A LOOK...
"Life at DTU
Written By... Shubham Bansal, Second Year Mechanical
This is the best part of being at DTU. Sheer enjoyment, a joy to behold. Even if you are confined to the walls of your room or go out on a long walk alone in the green campus you will never forget this phase, this college for the rest of your lives. No matter how much you curse this place, you will remember this for ages.
The love-hate relationship will always go on. Let me show you why.
You enter through this gate, skeptical and oblivious of what awaits you
You live in these hostels for four amazing years. You will love them for the fun and you will hate them for the rules and toilets.
You will love this campus, and hate it more. You will talk about how small it is until you have to go from hostel to the classes when it seems like miles.
You will have success and sweet falls. You will fly high, crash to the ground and someone will come to hit you, make fun of you and carry you back to your room.
[1]
This is where you will vent out your frustration. This is where you will feel the rush.
[2]
This is where you will sit when the classes go on with all the serious students attending them.
[3]
This is where you will walk-in winters and in rains, after dinner and before dinner, with friends or while you talk to your to-be-wife. These roads will be a good friend for these four years.

This is where you are going to eat Maggie at 4 in the morn, when you are tired with playing enough of CS. He is Maggie Baba, serving us for 40 years. Sheer devotion and love, well unless you hear him hurl abuses at you and your family for asking for a spoon or not having change. But that's love for you :)

And then there are fests in February to forget everything else.
Mohit Chauhan at DTU!

And as this happens you do not know when those years passed by I have heard, when those tea cups changed to coffee and shorts to formals, pocket money to salary but the friends and the strings remain the same with this college, with this very place, with DTU.
The worst part of being at DTU is that you would have to leave it someday. Till then we will cherish the stay :)
Additional Reading: You will know much more.
What do I do whole Semester?
- I read about History, Economics, follow politics and other not-so-cool stuff after my classes, most of which I make a point to attend.
- I recently set out to write on Quora and is addictive. It is fun to share something you know. Especially so, when you learn along.
- I dream about where I want to be instead of working. Yeah the best part of my day, daydreaming, being idle and feeling like a rockstar in the world of my own making.
- I play games, attend classes, read some more, day dream more, and slog through all my work sluggishly.
What are various other things people do?
- I see people watching TV shows in their hostel rooms from dawn to dusk. I sometimes salute their passion and commitment. Unflinching zeal :)
- I know people who will play badminton for 4 hours a day and then some more. There are sports bugs and then there are FIFA boys.
- I know people who are coding their way through fame as I am writing this answer.
- Then there are people who are associated with several research projects under Professors and working with several societies. The place is a mix of unimaginable varieties-from towns to villages, from morons to super-morons like me, from idiots to much more.
The teams and societies out here:
- Car Teams: Deltech BAJA, Hybrid, Solaris, Defianz are some tech teams in this segment that help the students get the drift and get high on their interests. They work for long nights to build a car that would run over you smooth within no time. Great work.
- Tech Societies: Then there are Computer societies like CSI and others like IEEE. There are societies for Mechanical Engineers like ASME and iMech-E, for Civil people- ASCE and for all other branches now. UAS and DTU-CANSAT specialize in aerospace things.
- Non-Tech societies: DTU Dramatics Society Pratibimb for those who can stretch it some more, Photography Club for those who just can't stop capturing, NSS-DTU chapter and Kartavya-DTU for those who want to contribute to the society in their own little ways.
Academics
- It is mostly chilled out. Read photocopied notes before the exams and you will pass with flying colors. And there are people, who "study" and do it well. It really depends on how you want to do it.
- The classes occur frequently and there is a minimum-attendance rule in place, so you have to come-sometimes, that is.
- Most of the people I know get good marks. The overall crowd at DTU is pretty good and sharp.
